Maru Schedule
Maru's schedule has a fair amount of variation, as she works at Harvey's Clinic part-time and is free other days. Her work shifts are Tuesday and Thursday from 9:20AM to 5PM, although she will stay home if it is raining.
On the days she does not work, Maru spends the morning in her lab and hangs out in various parts of the Valley in the afternoon. In Spring, she sits on the bench near the Saloon on Mondays and Sundays and the bench near the Community Center on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. In Summer, she stands by the lake instead of visiting the Community Center. She may also stay up until midnight looking through her telescope outside her house on some days.
In Fall, Maru returns to the Community Center bench on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. In Winter, if the Community Center is restored, she will go inside and spend time in the Crafts Room.
Maru attends all festivals. Because she works at Harvey's Clinic, she does not have a check-up date. Once the Ginger Island Resort is open, she can visit it on days that she is not working.
Maru Quests
Maru is not involved in any Story Quests or plot-related Quests. She is one of the characters who can ask for items on the Help Wanted board outside of Pierre's General Store.
Maru Gift Guide

Enter the Carpenter's Shop when Maru is there. Demetrius will confront you about growing closer with Maru. While you cannot gain or lose any Friendship with Maru during this event, choosing to Say nothing will earn you 10 Friendship Points with Demetrius.
Enter Harvey's Clinic while Maru is working. Maru is startled to see you and drops a beaker. Say "Tell Harvey it was an accident" to gain 50 Friendship with Maru, and Harvey will be understanding and forgive her.
Enter the Mountain on a sunny day between 9PM and 11:40PM. Maru will be looking through her telescope and invite you to join her. When she asks what you see, say "A beautiful planet" to gain 30 Friendship Points with Maru.

Maru's 10-Heart event is available ONLY if you have given her a Bouquet and asked her to date you. It is not required to reach Perfection unless you choose her as your love interest.

After marrying Maru, enter the Farmhouse between 6AM and 5PM on a day that is not a Sunday. Note that this event cannot trigger in Winter. Maru will invite you to view an astronomical event with her the next day.

Maru Marriage
You can marry Maru by giving her a Mermaid's Pendant after reaching 10 Hearts. After marriage, Maru will move into the farmhouse. Her private room is a lab, and she will work on a gadget in the nook behind the house.
After marriage, Maru continues to work at the clinic on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and visits her family at the Carpenter's Shop on Mondays. She stays home all other days.
On rainy days, Maru may give you an item she has crafted. The options are Bomb, Gate, Quality Fertilizer, Refined Quartz, or Warp Totem: Farm. She can also cook on rainy days, but only dessert dishes. The options are Blueberry Tart, Chocolate Cake, Cookies, or Rice Pudding. Finally, on any day that Maru does not work, she may gift you an item from her "scrap pile." The options are Bomb, Cherry Bomb, Crab Cakes, or Fried Mushroom. Maru does not give you a New Year's gift.
